Put your Right Knee out! (just don't shake it all about)

We got Dave to Manuka Street hospital by 7.30am this morning.  Stacey was doing mummy duties with Isaac and had Aunt Debbie there to spend some time with her.
First on the list for surgery, so not too long to wait around, and not enough time for wife and son to be there.
Nurse showed him his room and all the buttons to push for what, then another Nurse goes over details and signing forms, then the Surgeon goes over it all again, and sign another form, then the Anaethetist to goes over it all again, and sign another form, then the nurse to come and take him down to the theatre.... each time they asked his name and birth date and which leg, and what he was there for.  Wonder if there have been mistakes made in the past?
Taking all the vitals..
Richard Peterson the surgeon, marking the Right leg!
Dr Fou Lim Chin the Anaethetist.  We've just built a garage for him, and he wasn't entirely happy with his concrete floor.  This was of some concern to Dave, as he'd sold it to him!!

Mmmmm Mmmmmm  Twinkle toes?  with R (i) P on the leg - Richard Peterson's trademark.
And finally the Theatre Nurse - are you sure you are the name written on that wrist band?
And there's no going or looking back now.
Four hours later... just a bit pale and not very awake!  Stacey and her Aunt Debbie were cooing over baby Isaac and Dave really couldn't care less.
And the right leg was all washed pink and well bandaged.
And this (wee!) speciment was just a piece of cartilage that had been removed from the knee...
The kids in Auckland ordered a lovely bunch of flowers for their brother with Mums help
And Dad took in something else to help while away some time and possibly for his sweet tooth also.

That's us for another day.
